Justification of the Constitution

Justification of the Constitution

With the Articles of Confederation not being sufficient for a union of the 13 states, a convention was called to create a new Constitution that provided a stronger and more empowered federal government. Those in favor of the Constitution and more centralized governance were known as Federalists and those opposed were called Anti-Federalists. Without the Bill of Rights, the Anti-Federalists had reasoning in their fear that liberty was not protected, but the proposed republic with its organization of government in the Constitution had more safeguards against the loss of freedom than the current system that kept most power in the states.

The Anti-Federalists were concerned about how the Constitution alone failed to protect the liberties and rights of the people explicitly. Elbridge Gerry, an Anti-Federalist, was opposed to the proposed Constitution, because he wanted people’s liberties protected. As a Constitutional Congress delegate from Massachusetts, he probably was also hesitant to accept the Constitution, because, like most state government officials, he did not want his state to lose its power. Gerry was concerned about the loss of freedoms and in his letter to Massachusetts General Court said, “Should the citizens of America adopt the plan as it now stands, their liberties may be lost” (Gerry pg. 254). He had reason to believe that freedom could be lost, because the Constitution alone did nothing to guarantee any specific freedoms. It provided a new stronger federal government. With this letter being addressed to the Massachusetts General Court, the audience of the letter would easily have been focused on the loss of their power and eager to join his opposition to the central government. Due to the fear of the possibility of a tyrannical government that it left open, the Anti-Federalists were reluctant to accept the Constitution.

While both touch on individual and state liberties, neither the Constitution nor Articles of Confederation lay out what the specific liberties are and that they need to be defended. The Articles of Confederation mention the states’, “security of their liberties,” while the Constitution says, “The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.” Neither of these says what exactly those liberties or rights are, thus both constitutions leave the individual with the possibility of an oppressive government from either the states or the proposed federal government. Alexander Hamilton, a Federalist, was an advocate for central governance, due to his Hobbesian belief that people were naturally evil. With an overseeing government, he believed that people could be protected from themselves. Hamilton says in The Federalist No. 85, “Among pretended defects, are…the omission of a formal bill of rights, the omission of a provision respecting the liberty of the press:…are as much chargeable on the existing constitution of this state, as the one proposed for the Union” (Hamilton pg. 245). In revealing that the alleged flaw of no bill of rights in the Constitution also exists in the Articles, the Anti-Federalists lose support for their reasoning in keeping the current constitution. While Hamilton points out that there was an apparent lack of security for individual liberties in both the current constitution and the proposed one, he believes that there would be no more of a risk of tyranny under the new Constitution.

With the Constitution outlining a federal republic, there was fear that too large a republic would fail to express the interests of the people. It is first important to realize that before the Constitution still, the state governments were republic in form. The citizens elected representatives to the state government that made laws. The proposed Constitution would empower a stronger federal government that would be a republic of the states. One of the complaints of Brutus I, an Anti-Federalist, is that the large republic would not represent all the people’s interests. He says, “In a free republic, although all laws are derived from the consent of the people, yet the people do not declare their consent by themselves in person, but by representatives, chosen by them, who are supposed to know the minds of their constituents, and to be possessed of integrity to declare this mind” (Brutus I, Brutus I (An Anti-Federalist) October 17, 1787). Brutus I is correct in realizing that the representatives elected to the government cannot possibly always know what the people they are representing think and want. He must remember, however, that this is the case for both the state and the federal republics. Brutus I, in addressing New York, was trying to also appeal to the state’s interest in state-governing power. By arguing that a federal republic was too large and a state-sized one was functional, Brutus I hoped to deter the state from accepting the Constitution. Brutus I defended his belief that a large republic could not represent the individual interests of those they should be representing as well as those in a smaller republic.

The elective procedures of the new government permit both the people and state government to have control over those who represent them. Brutus I’s concern over lack of accurate representation missed the problem of attachment to political issues. James Madison pointed out that by having one’s estate and person attached to that which he is ruling, the individual creates more of a bias than otherwise would be present. Madison claimed to have found a median for the two polar stances in Federalist No. 10, “The federal Constitution forms a happy combination in this respect; the great and aggregate interests being referred to the national, the local and particular to the State legislatures” (Madison, Federalist No. 10). With the state legislatures having the ability to elect their senators in the proposed Constitution, they would have direct representation in legislation, which is important so each state has their voices heard and counted by the federal government. This mix of federal and state government is important in bringing balance toward issues, so that no state can take advantage of others. Madison continues later on describing how different amounts of property lead to differing concerns on issues. Due to the differing perspectives on these issues, there will always be a majority and minority on policies, including under a complete democracy. Therefore, some people will always be unhappy with the actions of the representatives in a republic, large and small. In an elective republic, the electors have the ability to send someone else to represent them if the previous politician failed to accurately defend their interests.

Each state had the ability to preserve its prosperity and the people’s freedom by having state-government elected Senators in Congress under the Constitution. Another problem that was brought up by Brutus I is of man’s thirst for more power. He feared that with a strong federal government the state legislatures would be dissolved, leading to a tyranny that suppressed the liberties of the individual. First, addressing the appetite for power, Hamilton pointed out in Federalist No. 6 that, being a natural aspect of humanity, state government too would look to increase their power. In the case of the states, they might try to become stronger and suppress the rights of other states in terms of commerce and rivalries. When looking at the federal yearning for power, since the states would have direct say in the Congress of any laws taking rights away from them, there was less a chance of tyranny. Finally, it must be realized that under the proposed Constitution, the states and citizens would have there rights and liberties more secured than under the current system. In Federalist No. 51, Alexander Hamilton or James Madison explained the safety net system of having both federal and state governance. He said, “In the compound republic of America, the power surrendered by the people is first divided between two distinct governments, and then the portion allotted to each subdivided among distinct and separate departments. Hence a double security arises to the rights of the people” (Hamilton or Madison, Federalist No. 51). With the double governance, it would be harder for one of the governments to create a law that would infringe on the liberties of the individual and/or state. Due to the states’ appointment of representatives in the federal republic, their interests were protected because of the states’ individual governance added along with the federal governance by representatives in the lawmaking body, thus the new Constitution protected liberty better than the Articles of Confederation.

In conclusion, the states had reason to be hesitant in their adoption of the Constitution due to the lack of protection of liberties, but the new federal republic better protected those liberties than the governance-oriented Articles of Confederation. With state governments already having republic form, they were subject to similar faults of a larger republic. By having the Constitution enable a set of double governance, states had less reason to fear the loss of freedom and the oppression of other states. It is important to realize that the government outlined in the Constitution is by no means perfect. Both Federalists and Anti-Federalists agree that with man being imperfect, so is any government created by man. Even though a government is created with the best intentions usually, those who follow in power are not always guided by the same morals, which can lead to a suppression of freedom. Since it is impossible to know exactly what would have happened if the Articles of Confederation continued to be the only centralization of power, there is no guarantee that the federal republic under the Constitution is actually better in practice. It is certainly possible that individual and state liberty would have been better protected under the Articles. In its massiveness today, the government far exceeds what the original states would have ever permitted and is evidence of the Anti-Federalist’s opposition, but under the form of government of the Constitution, the people have the power to elect officials that could shrink the federal government and give more control back to the states (however this is unlikely to actually occur). If one is to complain that the states have lost their capacity to the federal government, it is the states that must take the blame. The 17th Amendment, which gave Senatorial election powers to the people instead of the state legislature, put all electoral procedures in the hands of the people. This was a dangerous move, because people in general have no idea what is happening in politics besides what the television tells them. As can be seen with President Obama, a person can run on promises with self-proclaimed zero experience and get elected. The biggest effect, however, of the 17th Amendment was the fact that the states no longer had their interests represented in federal government. Without this vital part of checks and balances, the federal government has grown into a tyrannical entity that is expanding its powers each and everyday. The Constitution has become more of a set of guidelines and is laughed at when discussing bills. In order to restore the republic that has fallen, we as a people must shrink the size of federal government and give power back to the people and state governments.

Impending Doom: An America on Life Support (Part 2)

By: Brian
Conservative Daily Blog Podcast

Many of you have seen my recent forecasts, but most of you have not. I have decided to go all in on this one. I have tagged every Facebook friend and sent out mass email to branch out FULL force on this piece. This is a call to action and hopefully an awakening to a new reality. It would be my greatest reward if all of you would at least give me five minutes. Five minutes out of your, no doubt, super busy day. However, these may also be the first five minutes were you begin to reexamine your life and begin to accept new realities that you may not be able to escape. Please give me a few minutes of your time today.

***NOTE*** Please feel free to untag yourself and/or delete me from your friends list here on FB. I do not wish to impose nor to clutter your personal pages. ***END***

As a man of common sense, I have never been one for conspiracy theories. Not only does it diminish my intellectual productive capacity, but also plays upon unnecessary fear that only adds to my already complex daily life. I consider myself a craver of clarity- I prefer not to agree, but to come to understand things with as much knowledge and understand that can be achieved. That is why I now feel tested in ways never imaginable.

The Empire is collapsing. Bad decision making buried in the past, is now surfacing and coming into the spotlight. The needless spending to fund the war machine, entitlements, favor trade, save failing institutions and encourage excess spending, has come to a breaking point. It is not whether we can maintain the status quo, but whether the America we have always know will survive the greatest test of its time and come out stronger than before. This includes the very fundamentals that once established this great nation, making it the beacon on earth and the envy of all the people in the world.

America is about to enter THE GREATEST DEPRESSION it has seen since the founding of the republic over 230 years ago. Again, this is not meant to scare so please give me a few more minutes of your time to explain. I diagnosed the symptoms of America’s current status in my previous column,
http://www.conservativedailyblog.com/2009/10/ladies-and-gentleman-i-have-said-it.html Please read when you get a chance.

As you know in the past century alone, the Economy has experienced several “up’s and down’s”, the worst being the Great Depression of the 1930s. It was during this time unemployment rose to almost 25%, tent cities came to America, breadlines were formed, families were destroyed, and the Standard of living was paralyzed for a near decade. Eventually, the United States rebounded and came out stronger than before as industry and innovation took hold. Small business boomed and the middle class grew. Citizens of the world began to take notice and come to our shores to pursue a new opportunity not seen in a lifetime.

The U.S. dollar is being challenged like never before. The dollar declined 40% between 2002-2008 alone! In the past year, it has lost over 10% more. A DOLLAR CRISIS is amongst us. With a falling dollar, individuals lose purchasing power where they are unable to purchase the amount of goods previously at the same level. The cause of this, I explained in my past column (Again, please read). Plain and simple America is totally broke. All money currently being spent is either borrowed from China or printed out of thin air. This is called inflation as the money supply INCREASES, More dollars are chasing fewer goods. This will continue as the FED continues to print money and flood the system. Example: current price of a gallon of milk $3, inflationary adjustment $6-8!

The depression is already here. Currently unemployment is at 9.8%. Real Unemployment is at 18% percent if discouraged workers (Those who have given up pursuing) and individuals underemployed (Working part-time or in between for something better) are included in the figure. The unemployment for teenagers and young adults is at a record high of 52% The end of this year will see the largest single year deficit in history, eeking up to 2 trillon dollars and putting the federal debt at almost 13 trillion dollars! We have not however entered into our GREATEST DEPRESSION just yet. This will be a depression like non before.

Short and sweet: we all need to brace for the very worst. Very hard times are ahead and this will affect every American.

Unemployment will soon break into double-digits and by 2012 will pass the previous depression high of 25%. It is unforeseeable how high that number may reach because it will vary based upon what the government does and how the markets respond. As the old saying goes, “A recession is when your neighbor loses a job. It’s a depression when you lose your job.” You may soon find the majority of those in your family unemployed as the depression tightens its grip upon the workforce sector of the economy. We have already seen tent cities surface as a result of immense layoffs. Expect this to become wide spread into every state, as banks continue to close down and bad loans defaulting. The fragile housing market will not recover in the next decade.

The future looks very dire for the U.S. dollar. The U.N. and China have already called for a new global currency. I predict continue devaluation to a point where the U.S. standard of living will match that of a third world Banana Republic. However, a total collapse remains very likely. Here is what I see.
------
*Iran and Israel will go to war. Because of the dependence on the oil reserves of the middle-east, this will impair the ability to import from this region. The war would set off a chain reaction collapsing the dollar. The U.S. would make use of its own reserves, but the fallout would be severe enough for the markets to realize the fragility of the greenback (dollar)

*China will wake-up finally come to their senses and realize they do not need the U.S. to survive. They stop buying U.S. treasures (our debt) and unload their current holdings causing a total collapse. The results would be felt immediately as other nations follow China’s lead and unload their holdings.

*Unemployment and foreclosures will go up, the effects of inflation will be realized, the price of commodities (gold, silver, precious metals etc) will skyrocket all while more money is printed for National Health Care, Cap & Tax, and other major legislation becomes law. The markets will realize the suicidal behavior pursued by the U.S. and the markets will once again CRASH. This would likely set off the series of events that would peruse China and other nations to give up on the dollar.
---------

I, however, think the more likely scenario will be a slower fall, but still a mass devaluation which will ultimately cede America’s status as a superpower. Every American will not be able to return to a life they once knew. Prepare to make cut backs such as: Cutting your cable box, not dining out, no more shopping sprees, returning your Iphones, no movie excursions, no more eating organic food as many of these things are life luxuries. Make no mistake: These effects will be felt immediately. Literally a transformation overnight, nothing like we have seen in any of our lifetimes!

I believe that my generation will be considered “The Great lost Generation of the early 2000s”. As most of us now in college, will not be performing a job that has anything to do with the degree we are currently pursuing. I see it as almost a 50 year bubble. As a college degree meant something for our parents and grandparents, now a degree might not even be worth the paper it is printed upon. Inevitably, most colleges will close their doors forever forcing students directly into unemployment line. Americans soon will learn their time is better invested in learning marketable skills that will push them further and provide them a better standard of living in the immediate future. People will once again learn to look only to themselves and not to a government that has failed them time and time again.

It is impossible for most Americans to see Apocalypse. People like me are currently labeled “Conspiracy Theorists” for saying “it just cannot happen in America”. A culture so dependent on Fast food, cheap thrills, easy sex, booze blitzes, reality TV, text messaging, twittering and watching content readily available on Youtube. No doubt mass hysteria will unravel. The pain for the average American will be felt as if 1,000 tons of bricks crushed them into the ground. People will be outside their homes staring up at the sky as if the answer lay only beyond the stars. I personally am pained by trying to fathom this disaster of a reality.

Widespread Street violence will be a regular occurrence in a new America, as laws will be ignored by a desperate families demanding gratification for life essentials. Homes will be raided as families starve desperate to feed hungry children. Strip malls will turn to ghost towns and major retail outlets close down forever. This may be the end of the Mall’s of America as we know it, as small retailers (Mom and Pop) will lead the way in the eventual restructuring of the American economy.

Anyways, I hope now most of you get the picture. This will happen, the question is when, how long and just how severe. Like I stated in the beginning, THIS IS A CALL TO ACTION. Ladies and Gentleman, you have been lied to. Look to no political party, politician or messiahianic individual to give you salvation, you will find only more turmoil. This is a time you must turn only to yourself, your immediate family and those you trust. These coming days will test every American like never before. That is why I suggest that now you begin to make cut-backs in your life. Prepare your friends and family. Wake them up, get them active, and compel them to participate. This is not about political games anymore. Both political parties have failed us, Democrats and Republicans; George W Bush just as much as Barack H Obama. Call your representatives, attend town halls and take part in peaceful protest. Demand from your representatives not to spend another dime (We don’t have any money) because it will burden future generations. No more spending, no socialized medicine, no cap & Tax, and no more bailouts. It doesn’t matter how great any of these things might be, WE Simply DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY!

This is about our standard of living. This is about our families. This is about preserving liberty for our children. This is about security and stability in the civil society. This is about looking out for the best interests of EVERYONE!

America is like the Titanic, “The unsinkable ship”. The makers were so confident, they shorted the lifeboats (providing security to less than half of the passengers). However, bad decisions were made and no one paid attention… She hit. The Titanic was not “unsinkable” rather it was just as fallible as any other ship. America is just like any other country or former empire. In history Bad decisions, bad choices, and poor management have lead to the downfall of many empires. In the last 100 years alone, Soviet Union, Weimar Republic and Mao’s China.

America will founder. But she can be restored to glory overtime! If enough people are able to come to their sense, the damage will be very severe, but can be managed. We need each other now more than ever! We can do this as we have done the impossible before.

These are historic times. I wish all of you the best of luck. May God bless and protect you through these dark days ahead!

Economic Armageddon: America’s Demise

Economic Armageddon: America’s Demise
By: Brian

Ladies and gentleman I have said it many times before and I will say it to you again today: AMERICA IS FINISHED. What do I mean by that? The standard of living, the way we have known and understood life in America is over.

This topic is very loaded and will no doubt be filled in most people’s minds as a GIANT CONSPIRACY and is just fictitious talk from an Individual (me), looking for attention. I am here to tell you once again YOU ARE WRONG. YOU ARE WRONG and once again YOU ARE WRONG. I advise you not to tune out. Pull your head out of your textbook for five minutes and read this piece. I write these columns because I am trying to protect YOU! Yes, as crazy as it sounds, I am trying to advise people and wake them up in effort to PROTECT them! So, for the moment, worry not about the grades your professor dangles over your head. Play not the rat in the maze in search of the cheese because I am hear to tell you there is no cheese at the end of the maze.

The Truth: If U.S. Monetary policy, consumer consumption, personal savings and lifestyle are not turned around immediately, what awaits all of us at the end of the maze is truly an Economic Armageddon.

Now, I have laid out the reason America is headed toward Economic Armageddon in my past columns. However, in this column I will forecast my predictions for the inevitable dollar collapse and predict how the U.S. will respond to the crisis.

Before ascending to power, candidate Obama boldly and correctly stated we are amidst “The great economic crisis sense the Great Depression”. The problem with stating the crisis in this manner is that people are quick to assume this crisis is the SAME as the Great Depression of the 1930s. This, however, is false. While the immediate results of the two might be similar (High unemployment, loss of prosperity, foreclosure, etc), the outcomes of the two disasters will be radically different.

I will try to make this short, sweet and to the POINT: Before the Great Depression and well after it ended, the United States of America was the world’s largest creditor nation. America had no trade deficit. America was the world’s largest exporter of goods. America’s industry was expanding at a rapid rate. During this time Americans lived within their means, did not borrow money they could not repay, and learned the importance of personal savings.

Now, many years later (Short, sweet and to the point). America is the largest debtor nation. America has massive trade defects. OUR GDP is 70% consumption! We do not create goods and export them like we used to. Our biggest export is DEBT. We also live in a culture of entitlements. Since the Depression of the 1930s we have established Social Security (We may have to work, but we do not have to worry about savings because Uncle Sam will ensure our financial security once we happen to retire). Nation Health Care! Can you believe it? The U.S. actually already has Socialized Medicine and it is destroying us! With Medicaid, Medicare, VA hospitals and taxpayer funded Emergency room visits. (We do not have to worry about saving money to protect our health. We can spend that money on goodies. We can eat whatever we want, smoke, drink and be fat! It doesn’t matter because worse case scenario we wind up in an emergency room and other hardworking Americans will pay the bill. Even if we aren’t citizens! Yay!) Also, in the past few years it has suddenly became a God-given right to own a home and a car. Which also further perpetuations the impending doom.

All of the entitlements listed in the previous paragraph can now be classified as UNFUNDED liabilities. It has been estimated that within in ten years both Social Security and Medicare will be bankrupt. Estimates have been as high as 100 trillion ($100,000 billion) dollars over the horizon! What is the problem here?

The problem is fiat currency. The U.S., since the establishment of the Federal Reserve in 1913 and the complete abandonment of the Gold Standard, has been allowed to print money to NO END.

Instead of writing a book on the subjects of the Federal Reserve and the Gold standard, I will simply and quickly summarize it for you. Because of these two key items, The U.S. government has been allowed to spend with no limits, print as much money as they need, and have unlimited mobility to institute entitlements and fund wars without the limits of a backed monetary standard.

This is important to understand in the context of today’s problems. The reason the U.S. has gotten away with it UNTIL today is for the very reasons I have already mentioned. The U.S. has had the privilege of being the world’s reserve currency and therefore being allowed this “Wiggle Room” in terms of its monetary policy. The reason we have been able to contain the problem until today is because other nations such as China have been buying U.S. debt.

So what do I mean we are a 70% consumption based economy? What do I mean when I say we have massive trade deficits? What I mean is we have NO REAL WEALTH. By selling debt to the Chinese, we are selling our FAKE money exchange for their REAL WEALTH. They have real wealth because THEY PRODUCE. They do not have trade deficits, they HAVE massive exports, etc.

So now what are the forecasts? What is happening is the world is now waking up. The world now realizes that the United States is playing games and will never be able to repay all the borrowed and printed money. If you have read the news the last few weeks, you will see that other nations are FED up (no pun) with the United States and what we are doing with our money. They realize we are ripping everyone off.

People often say, “The world needs us because WE CONSUME their goods!”. Let me point you to an quick few paragraph article of why this is a lie. http://www.theviewfromthepeak.net/newsblog/2007/03/crash-proof-peter-schiff.html

Quickly though: 5 individuals on an Island. 4 Asians.1 American. 4 Asians do all the work. The America does nothing all day and at night consumes 70% of what the other Asians do and they consumer what remains. Problem? They do not need the America to survive! Once they CUT HIM OUT, they will have more for themselves!NOW. THE MOMENT OF TRUTH.

My prediction: Just as we have seen in the news, the world will continue to cry out at the United States for their idiot monetary policy. These “outcries” will continue to have influence on the Chinese and other Asian Governments that buy U.S. debt and allow our party to continue. The diminishing confidence will lead to a major event, perhaps the Chinese refusal to buy more of our debt or the Middle East decoupling from the dollar for Oil Reserves. Once this major event takes place a chain reaction of events will take place which will lead to a total unpegging from our dollar.

This will now force the U.S. to swallow the bad medicine- the very medicine that has been only worsening from our continued irresponsibility. We will experience an ECONOMIC ARMMAGGEDON lead by hyperinflation which will destroy the value of dollar making the prices of goods skyrocket to unheard levels.

Once the U.S. lays down its sword and must face Wrath. I predict anarchy. I think we will have massive street violence. Because of our worthless paper money in our bank accounts and pockets, Americans will be scrambling to attain anything of inherit value to trade for life essentials (food, water, shelter, clothing, security).Black Berries, Iphones, Xbox 360s, and Laptops will be of no use other than fancy doorstops. The violence that will ensue will include home burglaries and personal theft. Starving individuals looking to provide for themselves and their families will resort any means necessary to provide these “life essentials” I mention.

IN CONCLUSION

In times of peril, individuals often look to surrender more of their personal liberty and look to BIG BROTHER government for answers. I suggest you immediately abolish this foolish mindset. Why does it make sense to look for security from the very individuals that pushed you down the black hole in the first place? I recommend now you cease your consuming habits and become to live within your means as MUCH AS POSSIBLE.I hope people will read this and comment. If you read this, please leave a comment. If I am able to get a good amount of responses, It will persuade me to immediately write a follow up. Like I said before, I am looking to protect you. In my next column I will layout steps you as an individual, especially broke college students, can do to protect yourself for the coming disaster. Please comment! We need each other more than ever! Americans have fought and won some of the toughest battles the world has ever seen. This will be the Ultimate test of that “Strength”. Do not blow each other off.

The 17th Amendment and the Rise of Tyranny

Before the US Constitution was ratified, the states were united in an extremely limited federal government through the Articles of Confederation. Under these Articles, the majority of power lay in the hands of the state governments. However, it became apparent to many government officials that the Articles were insufficient in protecting the states from foreign nations and themselves, so a Continental Congress was called to draft a new constitution. With the Constitution that was proposed forming a more powerful central government, many of the states were hesitant to agree to it. But with the reasoning of the Federalists, the Constitution was adopted. The reason it was agreed to by the Anti-Federalists and states was that the Constitution still provided the states with a voice in lawmaking, by allowing the state legislatures to appoint their Senators. By having the representatives elected by the people and the senators elected by the state legislature, the people and states both had the power of the lawmaking in the federal government. With these election styles, people could protect their interests and the states could protect the states and people from an oppressive and tyrannical federal government. The formulation of this double-check style of government was genius and had the highest chance of protecting liberties.

Little did both the Federalists and Anti-Federalists know, that there firewalls for the protection of liberty would be breached through the Amendment process. In 1913, the 17th Amendment to the United States Constitution was voted on and passed. This amendment changed the election style for the Senate. Under this legislation, senators would be elected by the people, instead of the state legislature. This is important, because now both the Representatives and Senators would be elected by the people. It is commonly agreed upon that the public in general is not entirely educated when it comes to political affairs. The average person will vote on whatever sounds good to him/her. An articulate individual could be espousing the ideals of socialism and people could adore him and agree with whatever he says simply because he sounds intelligent and looks handsome, even though what he says is completely unamerican. With the state legislature-elected senators voting on proposed bills, they would be able to protect theirs and the people's interests from a powerful government that answers to no one. By surrendering this voting power, the states set the table for massive government takeover. People will continue to vote for politicians who may say things they like, but then go and destroy our society. The problem is that the entire election of our government has been put in the hands of many uninformed individuals. Corruption can easily find its way to a government post and stay there through recognition. FDR was the first President to take full advantage of this new power, by passing the New Deal. The New Deal gave an enormous amount of power to the federal government and provided a foundation that liberals today use to expand their agenda.

In order to reestablish the firewalls that our founders set up and secure our liberty once again, we must urge our Congress to pass an amendment that gives the Senate electorial powers back to the state legislature. I find it shocking that both the Senate and Supreme Court allowed the passage of Amendment 17. Not only did the states give away their voice in the federal government, but it is clearly unconstitutional. Isn't it the Supreme Court's job to determine whether or not a law adheres to the Constitution? The Constitution that was ratified, stated the power of election for the Senate belonged to state legislatures. How is creating a law that shifts this power to the people constitutional? If we regain a conservative hand in the Executive and Legislative branches, I believe it is absolutely necessary that we give the power back to the state legislatures. It is only with this distribution of power, that we can ensure the protection of liberty and the absence of the tyranny that exists in our government today.

“Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!”

The word’s utter inside the head of Barack Hussein Obama after ascending to his throne earlier this year; “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!” Perhaps, I should be more politically correct for all your LEFT WING RATS sipping a latte in your dorm rooms now, “Season’s greetings to all people of the United States, and to all a welfare State!”. There you happy? Well you damn well better be, because your wish came true! America is now a socialist state! Yippee! Now go kiss the ring of your Marxist college professor. Or wait, they don’t marry. That’s right. They are the ones that chant “DEATH TO THE BREEDERS!”. Instead, Bring him/her an organic apple grown only in the temperate deciduous forests of the great rain forests of the world grown by a well paid subsidized multi-cultural labor force!

I will not be using my column this week to be arguing the ills of Socialism or the opportunities of Capitalism. I am here to tell you that no matter what further policies are instituted by the Obama administration, AMERICA IS GOING TO SUFFER HYPERINFLATION and WILL EXPERIENCE A BRUTAL DEPRESSION A GOOD 2X WORSE THAN THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF THE 1930S! (You might want to read that again). So all you Socialist Commies reading this column who cheered the arrival or the welfare state in America and were hoping to only be required to work 9 months of the year and spend that time only worrying about where you will be vacationing, you are in for a more severe and brutal punishment!

Now before I give you a free education worth more than the tens of thousands of dollars you are currently pissing away, let me say this IS NOT AN ANTI-OBAMA RANT. I know you thought it would be. So sorry to disssapoint. The honest truth is we were headed for this long before the imposter came to power. However, the man has made it far far far far far far worse which will make a future recovery longer and much more painful.

We are a nation currently suffering from a historic amount of debt. Debt is not good. So how do we incur debt? A individual inherits debt by borrowing money by buying goods with credit or receiving various loans. The price of that loan is a promise to pay it back with interest. Rather, I owe you this + this. Debt is bad for an individual because it forces them to become more fiscally responsible with their wealth. If the individual ignores their obligation to pay off debt they will face severe penalties such as job loss, foreclosure, item repossession or even imprisonment.

So now what happens when a government is in deep debt? Well in the case of the United States, nothing! That is right. A government is free to tax, spend and print money to no end. The Government is Santa Claus with a magical machine that prints up money! The United States also happens to be in the unique position of holding the world’s reserve currency. So why hasn’t debt affected the U.S.? Well a major part has to do with our dollar’s standing as the reserve currency. Because of our long-standing history of being the world’s largest creditor nation, countries like China and Japan still have faith in the U.S. dollar and buy up our debt through U.S. Treasures. Therefore, as long they continue to prop up our dollar, our money supply will remain under control and thus inflation remains on the back burner.

WE ARE NOW THE WORLD's LARGEST DEBTOR NATION!

SO what happens when the rest of the world wakes up and realizes that we cannot pay back the I owe Yous that we have issued forever? ALL HELL BRAKES loose, the DOLLAR FALLS, PRICES SKYROCKET, STORE SHELVES BECOME EMPTY and WE ALL LOOSE OUR JOBS!

This will not last! The party has to end. Nations will wake up and realize that we are selling them a basket of lies and worthless pieces of paper which say “I owe you $X amount”. They will no longer buy our treasuries. After this, the U.S. will be forced to choke down the bitter pill and suffer this inevitable DEPRESSION. (I hope you are having fun at that College! Because it might just turn out to be one big summer camp!)

GOVERNMENT= ENEMY

That is right. We got here because BIG BROTHER GOVERNMENT got in the way and distorted the free market. They wiped their butts with the Constitution and said “TO HELL” with the Founders. The biggest factor was the collapse of the housing bubble. The government backed and guaranteed loans to individuals looking to buy homes for the first time. Guess what happens when an individual takes a loan? That’s right, BRING ON THE DEBT BABY. What happens when the Government guarantees loans to individuals with S*** credit? That’s right, THEY DON’T PAY IT BACK. This is real wealth being DESTROYED, not imaginary numbers going bye bye. Let me get political for a sec, it was Fannie May and Freddie Mac that were forced to give these loans by the Gov. The Communist Democrats where behind this criminal enterprise ignoring the warning sides from the fiscally conservative democrats & republicans even the Liberal JOHN MCCAIN!

Don’t think I was going to give Obama a free pass. He had the opportunity to “clean up the mess of his predecessors”, he did promise that, no? But as quick as the man became our 44th president, he became a money printing prostitute. Spent more money than every President combined (with Inflation); the most money spent in the history of the world! But, after all what can we expect from a man that hasn't so much as ran a hot dog stand in his entire life! Never fit a payroll. Just hanged grades over his student's heads in the classroom at UOC.
800 billion dollars of waste! If you don’t think it was waste, then I cannot help you. But I will make it simple, how does giving money to ACRON stimulate an economy? How does giving money to the Girl Scouts stimulate an economy (didn’t do that, but same principal as ACORN receiving money).

Obama followed this by giving the middle finger to the free markets to bailout the Auto industry. Nearly a month later, Chrystal failed anyways! Billions of dollars peed away as quickly as they were issued! GONE!

Cash for Clunkers (YOU ALL LOVE THAT DON’t YOU?). Isn't it wonderful? Free money from Uncle Obama! Do we learn from our mistakes? Of course not! This is the same exact policy that buried us underground! Cash for Clunkers, issued debt in much the same manner Freddie and Fanny did. But in this case, individuals actually purposely destroyed vehicles that have wealth and purposely to incur MORE DEBT! Gee, we don’t learn do we? Many individuals that took advantage of this program did so because they were unable to afford a new care in the first place. Therefore, they now had the incentive to go further into debt because of the sexy offer. Most of these loans will not be paid back! Obama, and all democrats for that matter, are supposed to be for the little guy, no? This Cash for Clunkers was an attack on the lower middle-class! Most individual’s first car is a clunker because they are cheap and do a good job. Even if the clunkers were not driven, they could have been scrapped for parts and thus give wealth back to the owner to offset the huge debt from his new car!

Let me touch on a subject that is sensitive to all you surfs out there; minimum wage. An increase in minimum wage is a good thing, right? More money guaranteed to you, right? Wrong you’re screwed! A minimum wage increase to a small business works much like a tax increase. Common sense tells us that an employer purchases the most efficient employer for the lowest price. If a business is taxed increasingly higher, they will not give themselves a pay cut. NOPE! Instead they restructure their current resources to produce more efficiently and cut out the bottom end. In other words, they eliminate the lower level jobs and instead reallocate those jobs to the current employer base. According to Bloomberg, youth unemployment in July was highest since records started being recorded back in the early 1940s, a whopping 29%!!!. Again, an attack on the little man. What is up, Mr. Obama?

ANYWAYS, I am done.

No one read this. If you did read this you don’t believe me or you continue to dump the bucket of sand over your head. How long will it take before you start listening to Brian? When has he been proven wrong, thus far? No, I am not an egomaniac. I am doing you a favor! My next column will be financial advice, since I care so much.

Like I tell you all the time, YOUR HATS ARE ON BACKWARDS!!!

OBAMA WANTS TO SPEND ANOTHER 2 Trillion on Health Care. This is not a debate about Health Care. Even if the plan was handcrafted by God, we CANNOT AFFORD IT! WE cannot afford to spend one more nickel! WE need to give the printers a rest! MR. OBAMA, you have already spent 2,000 billion dollars! STOP! WE as a nation cannot survive!
